Minneapolis
The trip started with a smooth arrival to the airport, a quick meal, conference call, and we boarded the plane. But then, we sat at the gate for 20 minutes. Eventually, a taxi, takeoff and a smooth flight/landing in Boston.
Flight: MSP -> BOS
Boston
As now expected, we arrived in Boston a bit late. - which wouldn’t have been a big deal except for our 1:20 layover - no problem, still plenty of time.
Or so we thought…
Because of nearby storms, planes were all being held at their gates and released slowly when cleared for takeoff. For us, this meant looking at our gate just a few hundred feet ahead of us, but not being able to dock because other planes were crowding the area. Another 20-30 minutes passed, I thought for sure we were going to miss our next flight.
We worked our way down to tarmac level and hopped on a bus. A 12 minute ride across the airport tarmac - which was cool - and we were running to join the last two zones boarding.
A quick scan of the face, no passport or boarding pass required - ok, Delta, that was pretty cool - and we were on the plane!

Flight: BOS -> LHR
The flight to London went well - except for there being no WI-FI, which completely killed my plan of getting some work wrapped up before the trip got underway.
Max has committed to trying lots of new food on this trip - we were all pleasantly surprised that our dinner meal on the flight was pretty good.

I cannot sleep on planes. Although, on this trip I tried tying a blanket around the headrest to keep my head from nodding. Surprisingly, I think this worked pretty well. I was told I slept for an hour or two.
Max tried sleeping across the seat with his head on Lori and legs on me. That lasted for an hour, but ultimately
Lights just went dim and I should try to grab 2hrs of sleep before we land.

London - 6:45am
Some of us slept, others did not. Can you tell which? You’ll soon find out!
